Case Study – Pool Inspections Review
Tauranga City Council
Tauranga City Council is the local government which promotes the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of the community, enables democratic local decision-making and action, and acts on behalf of
the city’s people.
What’s the Deal?
There tends to be confusion amongst the BCA’s around interpretations of the fencing regulations. At Tauranga City Council, there were different thoughts around it too. As a result, they were wanting to get an outside perspective and an independent review done to see whether they were compliant with the legislation, and whether there was a better way of doing it.
The Tauranga City Council got Ruption involved to take on this project off the back of a strong, maintained relationship, and results they had achieved from previous work. Ruption also knew the Tauranga City Council well as a business, they knew some of their people, they were independent, and they had the proven skills to conduct the audit.
The Tauranga City Council were very happy with the result of the pool inspection review that Ruption carried out. The Ruption team performed well and produced the desired, practical outcome. The need for practicality and useful information was important to the team members of Tauranga City Council. And, with the likeminded thinking of Ruption, Tauranga City Council received a report they could actually forge ahead with in a practical sense.
